TRX may have initially been designed for the military, but don’t be intimidated as they have evolved and been honed to provide a unique and totally new approach to functional exercise. The TRXs effectiveness is popular in gyms across the country and used by everyone from Hollywood-A-Listers who want tough, toned bodies to Physical Therapists who use them for rehabilitation purposes. Given TRX’s versatility we have been able to adapt and design our own programmes that keep our classes in-line with the Iso Barre ethos here at the Iso Barre Studio – effective, safe and personal.
Those yellow and black straps are actually designed to use your own bodyweight as resistance and therefore you can adjust resistance according to your level of fitness. We offer an all-round mixed ability class because we are able to modify and progress every exercise in-line with our individual client needs. It doesn’t matter if you are a complete newbie or a fitness obsessive.
TRX Suspension Training is for everyone. There is no need to worry that it might be too ‘hard core’ as it actually gives an edge over conventional strength training. Every exercise builds true functional strength, something required in everyday life, and hence reduces the risk of injury. Strength training also builds lean muscle, and muscle incinerates calories. Results all round!
